PHA2USE wins European Public Sector Award and Circular Award
PHA2USE, the project we are running together with five Dutch water boards and HVC, is awarded twice in one week. On 21 March, daily board member Niels Mureau accepted the European Public Sector Award (EPSA). This is an award for sustainable innovations by public authorities at all levels in Europe! The award ceremony was at the provincial government building in Maastricht. From 27 countries, a total of 151 projects had been submitted for three categories issued by the European Institute behind this award.
Circular Award 2024
We also won the Circular Award 2024 in the Public category the week before. Vivianne Heijnen, outgoing State Secretary for Infrastructure and Water Management, presented the Award during the National Conference Circular Economy. The jury awarded our project because Caleyda fits in with achieving the objectives of circularity and climate.
The Circular Awards 2024 are organised by the Versnellingshuis Nederland Circulair! and supported by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Works. The organisers use the Awards to show how innovative projects and products from companies and governments can contribute to the circular economy in the Netherlands. The awards ceremony takes place annually at the National Circular Economy Conference.
PHA2USE is a project with the Dutch Waterboards Brabantse Delta, De Dommel, Fryslân, Hollandse Delta and Scheldestromen. Also HVC, Aquaminerals and STOWA are part of this project consortium.
